Number 5 - Main Media Centre, Vancouver

Overview:

The Main Media Centre (MMC) is located in the Canada Place complex and the Vancouver Convention Centre on Vancouver’s downtown waterfront.

The Main Press Centre (MPC) is located at the Canada Place complex and includes the convention centre (East Building) and Port Metro Vancouver facilities and come Games-time will be home to 2,800 accredited members of the written and photographic press.

The International Broadcast Centre (IBC) is located in the west building of the Vancouver Convention Centre, and will be the base of operations for 7,000 accredited broadcasters and technicians who will produce live television and radio coverage.

Located on Vancouver’s urban waterfront, the west building is an expansion of the existing convention centre facilities located within the Canada Place complex.

Potential Pin Trading Locations:

Outside, inside, all around the complex. Here's another instance of numerous places to trade on the approaches to and around the entire complex. Security will doubtless be tight, but that should not preclude pin trading provided you're mobile, agile, and able to read accreditation across a street at a single glance.

Transportation Options:

Leave your car at home. Take SkyTrain to the Waterfront Station on either the Expo Line or the Canada Line. The Main Media Centre is a short walk to the northwest. Travelling over from North Vancouver ?? Be sure to take the SeaBus for a nautical transit experience !!
